Hispanic Education Endowment Fund
The Program
The Orange County Hispanic Education Endowment Fund (HEEF) of the Orange County Community Foundation provides scholarships for Orange County Hispanic students with financial need at all levels along the education continuum, from elementary school through graduate degree programs. HEEF strives to respond to the educational needs of Hispanic youth, thereby improving opportunities for all Hispanic students.
Eligibility
Students may apply to more than one scholarship program but they may receive an award from only one fund or program. Each fund or program has its own criteria as listed on the application. On your application, indicate scholarship programs for which you are eligible from the following:

Selection of Recipients
Applications will be reviewed by community advisors and Foundation staff. Candidates must note the following dates: Application filing deadline: Monday, February 13, 2006. Notice of your application status will be mailed to you by Monday, March 20, 2005.
Finalists will be interviewed on date to be announced. Students selected to receive awards must attend The Scholars Awards Reception on Thursday, June 8, 2006 at Cal State University at Fullerton. All materials must be postmarked by Monday,
February 13, 2006. Regular mail is encouraged with no need for certified or other special mailings.
Application Requirements
To be considered for a scholarship, you must:
* Complete and sign the 4-page application.
* Write an essay as specified in the application.
* List extracurricular and community service activities.
* List work experience.
* Complete course description from 9th through 12th grades. List honors and advance placement classes.
* Attach a copy of the first two pages of your most recent U.S. Income Tax Return.
* Financial information is mandatory.
* All materials must be postmarked by Monday, February 13, 2006. Sign completed application and mail to:
